Extended Practitioner Focused Workshops (Thursday, March 6, 8:30-10:30)

Back by popular demand!  This event is TICKETED, but FREE of charge to conference attendees!  These workshops will be 2-hours in length, allowing time for delving deeply into the topics at hand.  Check out the available workshops HERE!

Welcome Brunch (Thursday, March 6, 10:45-12:45)

Keynote:  Dr. Bettie Ray Butler

Bettie Ray Butler, PhD is a Professor of Urban Education, the Director of the M.Ed. in Urban Education program, and the Director of Faculty Success within the Cato College of Education at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She also serves as the Associate Editor for the Journal of African American Women and Girls in Education (JAAWGE). Her specialized research interest is in culturally responsive practices and restorative approaches (spiritual lens) within educational contexts. Her scholarly research has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including, Theory into Practice, Urban Education, Urban Review, and The Journal for Multicultural Education (recipient of the 2019 Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Paper/Article). She is the author of two books, Mentoring While White (2022) and Un-silencing Youth Trauma (2022).

20th Anniversary Celebration Dinner (Thursday, March 6, 5:00-8:00)

NASUP is 20 years old! Join us for a spectacular evening that includes dinner, entertainment, a look back at the last 20 years, and a commemorative program and gift. You will not want to miss it!  This is a TICKETED event.

Collaborative Conversations (Friday, March 7, 9:45-11:00)

Back by popular demand! Collaborative Conversations will provide opportunities to engage in rich dialogue about respective partnerships while receiving ideas and support from others. There will be groups for everyone, including teacher candidates, in-service teachers, P-12 and higher education administrators, international partnerships, partnership liaisons, and university faculty. 

Awards Luncheon (Friday, March 7, 11:15-1:00)

You won’t want to miss this time of honoring exemplary partnerships, an outstanding dissertation, the Jason Kinsey Friend of NASUP, and other special awardees.

Membership Meeting (Friday, March 7, 5:15-6:15; Happy Hour 6:15-7:15)
