Award Information

The Impactful Leader Award is designed to recognize an individual who has made impactful, ongoing contributions by leading or co-leading a school-university partnership. Nominees may be school-based, district-based, community-based, and/or university-based individuals. The award will be presented annually at the NASUP national conference, and winners will be invited to present at the next NASUP conference.

Eligibility

Individuals are eligible if they: 

• Are currently employed by a school or school district or have been employed within the past 18 months,
• A current member of NASUP 
• Possess a long-running, documented impact on leading or co-leading an SUP or activities embedded in an SUP.

Criteria

Nomination materials will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Extent and duration of leading school-university partnerships
• Impact of their leadership on the success of the partnership 
• Specific examples of the alignment of leadership activities to the goals and mission of NASUP

Nomination Process

• Nominations may be submitted by active individual NASUP members or by any member of an institution holding an active institutional NASUP membership.
• The nominee must be a current NASUP member. Self-nominations are accepted.

Nomination Materials

Nominations will be made using the link provided before the posted deadline.

The nomination material includes three documents: 

• Two letters of support, up to 2 double-spaced pages each, about the impact of the nominee’s leadership activities. 
• A copy of the nominee’s resume

Selection Process 

1. The NASUP Awards Committee will review the nominations based on the criteria described above.
2. The NASUP Leadership Team will approve the recipient(s). 
3. The NASUP Awards Committee will notify the recipient(s).
