Essential 1 of the National Association for School-University Partnerships (NASUP) “… aims to advance equity, antiracism, and social justice within and among schools, colleges/universities, and their respective community and professional partners.” (Nine Essentials)
In accordance with our by-laws, NASUP is seeking a Co-Chair to serve alongside the existing Chair to lead the initiatives and activities of the Antiracism Committee, which:
…shall articulate the values of diversity in all its dimensions including but not limited to race, gender, gender identity, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, physical abilities, and others. The committee works towards equity, inclusion, and social justice and develops goals and initiatives which embrace an organizational culture that is strengthened by multiple perspectives… (NASUP By-Laws 4.3.2.7)
This is a volunteer position. Applicants must be members of NASUP. The appointed chair will serve as part of the association’s leadership committee. Interested applicants should:
