“From reflection to engagement: utilizing book studies to foster teacher growth and leadership” by Brittany Holden and Jeffrey Eargle
This article documents the development of a series of teacher-led book studies conducted over six years by the PDS Focus Group at a high school in a Professional Development School Network. Specifically, we explain how the members of the PDS Focus Group used their learning from the book studies to change their classroom practice and lead professional development for their peers.
“Co-creating a mentor academy within a school–university partnership: continuity in effective mentoring of teacher candidates, novice teachers and beyond” by Jennifer Sharples Reichenberg, Michelle Gallagher and Gina Dudkowski
This study investigated a mentor academy that was co-created within a school–university partnership (SUP) to support continuity in high-quality mentoring for teacher candidates, student teachers, novice teachers and teachers new to the school. We explored growth in the mentors and aspects of the academy that impacted that growth.
