Essential 1 of the National Association for Professional Development Schools (NAPDS) “… aims to advance equity, antiracism, and social justice within and among schools, colleges/universities, and their respective community and professional partners.” (NAPDS Nine Essentials)
In accordance with our by-laws, NAPDS is seeking a Chairperson to lead the initiatives and activities of the Anti-Racism Committee, which:
…articulate[s] the values of diversity in all its dimensions including but not limited to race, gender, gender identity, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, physical abilities, and others. The committee works towards equity, inclusion, and social justice and develops goals and initiatives which embrace an organizational culture that is strengthened by multiple perspectives. (NAPDS By-Laws 4.3.2.7)
This is a volunteer position. Applicants must be members of NAPDS. The appointed chair will serve as part of the association’s leadership committee.
