The NASUP Conferences & Programs Committee will be hosting a Spring 2024 book club. The club, facilitated by Drs. Robin E. Hands and Sarrah Jean Grubb, will be reading and discussing Valarie Kaur’s book, See No Stranger:  A Memoir and Manifesto of Revolutionary Love.

The book is divided into three parts: Part I see no stranger: loving others (pp. 7-98), Part II tend the wound: loving opponents (pp. 103-171), and Part III breathe and push: loving ourselves (pp. 211-275).

To learn more about the book, please visit this website. To hear a teacher candidate’s response to Valerie Kaur’s writing, please view this brief video.

We will discuss Part I on January 25th (5:30 – 6:30 pm Eastern Time), Part II on February 22nd (5:30 – 6:30 pm Eastern Time), and Part III at the NASUP conference (exact time TBD). (If you are unable to attend the conference, a Zoom link will be provided for the culminating discussion.)

To register, please complete the form linked here. The cost is $20 for non-NASUP members; $10 for NASUP members; free to teacher candidates (with proof of candidacy).
